This is a small piece of the entire Veil Nebula in Cygnus. The Veil is supposedly another supernova remnant, though the post-nova star that is exciting the gas to glow has not been clearly identified. Please contrast this image with the wider field version shown here. Please contrast with another famous supernova remnant, the Crab Nebula.
