A beautiful object in the
constellation Cepheus,
aka the "Iris Nebula", it
gains its blue color
largely from reflection
of starlight (from the
central star) off of the
dust particles contained
within the nebula
. Blue
light is reflected far
better than other
wavelengths (which are
absorbed better) -- this
explains why the sky is
blue
