NGC 1977, aka the
"Running Man" Nebula,
is located about 0.5
degrees north of the
great Orion nebula
(M42) in the so-called
"Sword of Orion" (the
chain of objects that
seems to hang down
from Orion's belt).

Blooming artifact was
eliminated by layering
in shorter exposure
data. Harder to remove
were prominent (filter)
reflection halos around
the brighter stars --
these were tediously
supressed in
Photoshop.
